Principal DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will help lead the development and implementation of products to create secure and scalable cloud environments in AWS and Azure, leveraging the latest commercial and open-source technologies and techniques.

In Short

• Design, build, test and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and applications using CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Work with other engineers, architects and analysts to shape our DevOps products.
• Support deployment and operational activities of products into clients’ environments.
• Assist with setup/maintenance of environments for testing.
• Assist in production support through incident investigation and resolution.
• Perform ongoing routine application maintenance tasks.
• Act as the senior technical contact for DevOps related matters.
• Mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or greater.
• 10+ years of working experience in a DevOps capacity.
• Commercial experience in deploying and operating infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Strong IaC skills including Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab CI/CD for building and deploying applications.
• Test Driven Development experience.
• Expert in cloud orchestration and containerisation technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of large-scale databases and distributed technologies.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Experience mentoring and leading teams.
