Network Configuration Engineer - Remote

Overview

AireSpring is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Network Configuration Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves remotely configuring, testing, and securing customer-premises equipment across various technologies and platforms.

In Short

• Remote configuration and deployment of routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Maintain and enhance configuration templates for ISP/MSP services.
• Conduct functional and security testing of customer equipment.
• Load configuration data into inventory and provisioning systems.
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures.
• Apply and maintain security policies for networks.
• Coordinate with various technical teams for deployment status.
• Identify and automate repetitive tasks for process improvement.

Requirements

• Junior to intermediate certifications in Cisco, Juniper, or Adtran preferred.
• 3+ years of experience configuring ISP/MSP customer equipment.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN and electronic provisioning systems.
• Experience with scripting or automation tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
