Director, Tax & Compliance - Remote

Overview

As the Director of Tax & Compliance at Airalo, you will be responsible for developing and enforcing a tax and regulatory compliance framework to support the company's rapid growth in over 100 jurisdictions.

In Short

• Lead the development of a globally consistent tax structure.
• Oversee indirect tax processes including VAT/GST registrations and filings.
• Implement transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transaction flows.
• Identify and mitigate various tax risks.
• Engage with tax consultants and local authorities.
• Monitor global tax regulations and drive internal adjustments.
• Establish internal tax policies and compliance calendars.
• Support finance and legal teams during funding and acquisitions.

Requirements

• Expertise in indirect tax across various markets.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing frameworks.
• Strong command of global economic substance rules.
• Familiarity with automated tax reporting platforms.
• Ability to balance business enablement and regulatory obligations.
• Experience engaging with tax authorities and legal teams.
