Overview

AEM (Advanced Environmental Monitoring) is seeking a Director of Cloud Operations to lead and optimize the availability, security, scalability, and modernization of their multi-region, multi-vendor cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and performance of their SaaS products.

In Short

• Lead day-to-day operations of SaaS cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee and mentor a team of Systems Engineers, DBAs, and NOC staff.
• Manage monitoring and observability tools for system performance.
• Optimize AWS and Azure environments for scalability and cost efficiency.
• Ensure secure cloud operations aligned with compliance standards.
• Lead incident response efforts and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for IT initiatives.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure operational readiness for new releases.
• Be available for on-call support as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years managing cloud operations in a high-availability SaaS environment.
• Experience leading IT teams including Systems Engineering and NOC functions.
• Deep expertise in AWS and experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong background in infrastructure automation and CI/CD.
• Experience with IT security policies and compliance frameworks.
• Track record of optimizing cloud spend.
• Familiarity with incident management and disaster recovery.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• A recent AWS associate level certification is a must.
