Overview

AECOM’s Design and Consulting Services-Americas legal department is seeking a creative, highly talented attorney to support operations in its West Region, with a focus on construction law and legal issues related to contracts for engineering and construction services.

In Short

• Hybrid position including remote and in-office work.
• Based in larger AECOM offices in the West Region.
• Requires expertise in construction law and contract negotiation.
• Guidance on risk management and adherence to company policies.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts for various services.
• Support AEC teams during procurement and delivery of projects.
• Manage litigation and supervise external counsel.
• Provide legal research and compliance guidance.
• Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
• Travel required approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

• J.D. Degree from accredited law school + 7 years of relevant experience.
• Member in good standing with any U.S. state bar.
• Experience in engineering and construction law.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
