Overview

The Contracts Manager at GE Aerospace plays a critical role in managing contracts with both US and foreign government customers, ensuring compliance and effective negotiation throughout the contract lifecycle.

In Short

• Act as primary interface between GE Aerospace and customers on all contractual matters.
• Provide contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts.
• Lead negotiations and contract interpretation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Program Management, Marketing, Sourcing, Engineering, and Legal.
• Present risk mitigation strategies to Senior Leadership.
• Support managers and senior contract personnel on assigned contracts.
• Embrace Lean and digital tools for continuous improvement.
• Ability to travel periodically.
• Develop creative solutions for complex business problems.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in contracts, sales, or legal role.
• At least five years of experience in government, commercial, or international contract formation.
• Expertise in Parts 12 and 15 of the FAR.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of contract law and formation.
• Able to anticipate and resolve complex contractual issues.
• Experience building strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proactive in identifying and removing project obstacles.
