Overview

Acorns is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Data Scientist with deep expertise in marketing science to help shape the way we acquire and retain customers.

In Short

• Develop a deep understanding of Acorns’ products, data infrastructure, and how data supports our product and marketing strategies.
• Ramp up on existing data science tools, processes, and methodologies.
• Own and enhance our existing Marketing Mix Models (MMM) solutions.
• Lead the design and execution of data science projects.
• Conduct rigorous data investigations to uncover insights.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate modeling techniques.
• Perform code reviews and support best practices.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Stay current with advancements in data science.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in marketing science or related analytical roles.
• Hands-on experience with Marketing Mix Models.
• Strong foundation in causal inference and experimental design.
• Proficiency in Bayesian modeling and machine learning techniques.
• Familiarity with marketing analytics platforms.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.
• Experience with Databricks or Jupyter Notebooks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
