Overview

The Medical Director, France will lead the creation and execution, together with the field Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) and in line with the Regional Medical Affairs strategy, of the Medical Affairs strategy for RETT syndrome as well as the (pre)launch plans, including local support of Managed Access activities. Responsibilities will include building and maintaining external stakeholder relationships and collaborations, as well as continuing to position Acadia as a thought leader and valued partner with patient advocacy and medical RETT communities in France.

In Short

  • Primary geographical responsibility is France, with potential for additional markets.
  • Provide scientific and medical leadership for country medical affairs (pre)launch plans.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with Centers of Excellence, KOLs, and PAGs.
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration for effective execution of the medical strategy.
  • Coordinate operational medical excellence with EU field medical teams.
  • Provide medical expertise and editorial support for data dissemination.
  • Engage with key HCPs through scientific exchanges and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Oversee insights gathering from the MSL team regarding competitive landscape.
  • Support Clinical Trials enrolment for Prader-Willy syndrome phase 3 trial.

Requirements

  • Requires MD (PhD, PharmD or equivalent also considered).
  • 10+ years’ Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Solid rare disease experience in France and knowledge of the French healthcare system.
  • Experience in HCP engagement and Patient Advocacy Group interactions.
  • Fluent in French and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally.
