Area Business Manager - Remote

Overview

Acadia is searching for a patient-inspired, results-oriented, and collaborative sales professional to join our team as an Area Business Manager. You will have the unique opportunity to promote our rare disease product, the first and only FDA-approved treatment specifically for Rett syndrome in adults and pediatric patients two years and older.

In Short

• Report directly to the Regional Business Leader, ensuring alignment with the overarching goals and strategies of the sales team.
• Build trusted relationships with healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary care team offering expert insights.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with target HCPs.
• Deliver MLR-approved, education-focused messages to target HCPs.
• Strategically plan and execute territory business plans to exceed goals.
• Cultivate and maintain strong connections with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
• Address customer concerns quickly and collaborate with internal teams.
• Analyze sales potential and optimize outreach to maximize results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies.
• Participate in local and national patient advocacy events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong preference for life sciences.
• At least 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with 1 year in specialty sales.
• Preferred experience in specialty sales including rare diseases.
• Advanced selling and dialogue skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must live within the territory and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be in good standing with the FDA and OIG.
• Requires significant driving and overnight travel.
