SQL DBA Specialist - Remote

Overview

The SQL DBA Specialist will handle multifunctional database projects, administering development/test databases and performing various database functions across teams.

In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain new databases.
• Manage backup/recovery and configuration management.
• Install database management systems and related software tools.
• Submit input for modification of procedures and documentation.
• Work in a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week in Cincinnati, OH or Tampa, FL.
• Must be a US person (citizen, permanent resident, or asylum granted).
• Minimum of 5 years of SQL DBA experience.
• Experience with SQL HA clustering, Availability groups, and Log Shipping.
• Experience with SQL programming and performance tuning.
• Bonus points for cloud experience and relevant DB certification.

Requirements

• 5+ years of SQL DBA experience.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL HA clustering.
• 3+ years of SQL programming and performance tuning experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Oracle, Azure, Google).
• Familiarity with other DB platforms (Oracle, SQL, DB2, etc.).
