Overview

Abilitie seeks a motivated and seasoned Principal Software Engineer to serve as a key technical leader on our development team. You will lead a small, globally distributed team and guide the design, development, and maintenance of our multiplayer business simulations, internal tools, and automated operations.

In Short

Lead and mentor a small team of engineers.
Oversee system architecture decisions for scalability and security.
Contribute to full-stack development.
Work cross-functionally with product and QA teams.
Identify and address performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
Advocate for improvements to engineering practices.
Support and expand automated operations and internal tools.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Familiarity with front-end and back-end technologies.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes.

Requirements

7+ years of progressive engineering experience.
Experience in technical leadership and mentoring.
Strong understanding of system architecture.
Proficiency in front-end technologies like React and TypeScript.
Experience with back-end technologies like NodeJS and PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of AWS services.
Ability to work in a remote, dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Ownership mindset and ability to prioritize tasks.
Appreciation for UI/UX design.
