Overview

The Scientific/Medical Director, Medical Affairs provides specialist medical and scientific strategic and operational input into core medical affairs activities such as healthcare professional interactions, generation of clinical and scientific data, educational initiatives, and safeguarding patient safety.

• Initiates medical affairs activities and generates data supporting scientific strategies.
• Oversees design, analysis, and reporting of scientific content for clinical studies.
• Provides in-house clinical expertise and coordinates scientific activities with stakeholders.

• May assist in developing marketing materials and medical education programs.
• Coordinates scientific activities with internal stakeholders related to medical affairs projects.
• Provides scientific/medical education related to therapeutic areas.
• Ensures compliance with budgets and timelines in scientific activities.

Requirements

• Advanced Degree PhD or PharmD, with post doctorate experience preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• 7-10 years in Medical Affairs, with Global experience preferred.
• Experience in hematology and cell therapies preferred.
• 4+ years of clinical trials management experience.
• Knowledge of clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to run clinical studies independently.
• Proven leadership skills in a global team environment.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
