Overview

The Customer Development Manager (CDM) is a key member of brand strategic marketing, responsible for engaging with key opinion leaders and developing marketing strategies for AbbVie Eye Care’s Anterior Segment brand teams.

• Interact with Ophthalmology and Optometry KOLs to gather insights.
• Develop regional engagement plans aligned with brand strategies.
• Identify and recruit faculty for national series and speaker training.
• Lead engagement for sponsorship opportunities at conferences.
• Provide competitive insights to inform marketing strategies.
• Manage marketing budget and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to execute marketing initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.
• Utilize strong communication skills to represent AbbVie.
• Ensure adherence to health care industry representative credentialing requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field.
• Advanced degree or previous sales/marketing experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or marketing.
• Knowledge of regulations affecting pharmaceutical products.
• Experience in public speaking and relationship building.
• Ability to work within a budget and comply with procedures.
• Strong project management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet safe driving requirements.
• Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements.
