Payroll and Benefits Specialist - Remote

Overview

As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you will own the end-to-end payroll process and benefits administration for our employees across the U.S. and Canada, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll operations while delivering an exceptional employee experience.

In Short

• Process multi-location payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees.
• Maintain compliance with payroll regulations and timely tax filings.
• Investigate payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries.
• Administer U.S. employee benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k).
• Ensure regulatory compliance with ACA, ERISA, and IRS.
• Stay updated on payroll and employment law changes.
• Drive process improvements in payroll and benefits administration.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience across multiple U.S. locations.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex topics.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• 2+ years of experience administering U.S. benefits.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and compliance requirements.
• Proven ownership mentality and initiative.
• Strong analytical skills and process improvement experience.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems proactively.
• Experience with UKG Core is a plus.
• Experience processing Canadian payroll is a nice-to-have.
