Build Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Build Engineer at 1Password, you will play a crucial role in the design, scalability, and reliability of our pipeline infrastructure, working across various technologies to support our development and product needs.

In Short

• Join the Build & Release Team at 1Password.
• Work on CI systems and maintain complex build and release pipelines.
• Utilize scripting languages like Python, Powershell, and Bash.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• Manage containerized technologies with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams.
• Monitor and maintain build infrastructure health and stability.
• Analyze build performance and implement optimizations.
• Guide teams on CI/CD best practices.
• Work in a remote environment supporting the US and Canada.

Requirements

• Experience with CI systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Powershell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Knowledge of Make or similar build automation tools.
• Understanding of code signing and validation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions is a plus.
• Proficiency in Rust and/or TypeScript is a bonus.
