• Responsible for overseeing coding operations for medical services.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal reimbursement.
• Supervise a team of coding specialists.
• Maintain coding quality standards and implement best practices.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits of coding accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians to optimize code selection.
• Develop and maintain coding policies and procedures.
• Stay current with coding updates and industry best practices.
• Participate in revenue cycle management initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• 5+ years of medical coding experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Current medical coding certification required.
• In-depth knowledge of coding systems (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10).
• Strong understanding of Medicare billing guidelines.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
