• Seeking a Senior Loan Accountant to join the Loan Accounting function.
• Role involves monitoring loan servicing and ensuring accuracy of transactions.
• Responsible for end-to-end T&I (escrow) processes.
• Develop and document procedures for escrow accounting.
• Collaborate with the Servicing team to resolve discrepancies.
• Drive month-end close activities related to loan portfolios.
• Perform GAAP-related accounting analysis as needed.
• Identify control gaps and implement process improvements.
• Operate independently in a remote-first environment.
• Provide guidance to lower-level professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in loan accounting or related fields.
• Experience with loan servicing systems (FICS preferred).
• Strong understanding of loan accounting concepts.
• Deep understanding of escrow accounting required.
• Familiarity with GAAP principles.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to provide guidance to lower-level professionals.
• CPA not required.
