Business Controls Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Business Controls Analyst supports the execution and enforcement of the company’s business controls framework governing operational, system, and process changes, ensuring required documentation, reviews, and approvals are completed prior to implementation.

In Short

• Support intake and tracking of business control changes.
• Maintain visibility into change status, approvals, and timelines.
• Review submitted documentation for completeness and adherence to defined standards.
• Confirm that impacted teams have updated procedures prior to implementation.
• Coordinate required reviews across relevant teams such as Compliance, IT, and Operations.
• Enforce “no implementation without required approvals” standards.
• Maintain organized and complete records of all control related activities.
• Track issues identified during the change process.
• Can require completion of documentation before progressing changes.
• Works within an established controls framework.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of experience in risk, compliance, operations, audit, or a related function.
• Experience supporting process governance, change management, or control related activities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review documentation for completeness and consistency.
• Organized and able to manage multiple workstreams.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with systems of record, workflow tools, or compliance tracking systems is preferred.
• Exposure to financial services, lending, servicing, or similar regulated operations.
• Manufactured housing or specialty finance experience is a plus.
