Overview

The Mid-Market Account Executive will focus on fast-paced sales efforts targeting merchants with annual sales below $500M. You will be responsible for managing a higher volume of accounts, executing tailored sales strategies, and driving swift deal closures. This role emphasizes agility, consistent top-of-funnel activity, and skill development in moderately complex deal cycles.

  • Proven success in high-volume full-cycle B2B sales experience, consistently closing deals within 60-180 day cycles.
  • You’ll turn insights into action, crafting tailored outreach and strategic solutions to win and grow merchant partnerships.
  • Remote-first opportunity for U.S.-based employees, with the option to work in-person at our Manhattan office.
  • Own a roster of 30-40 qualified active accounts at all times, focusing on high-velocity outbound and meeting generation.
  • Create tailored Top of Funnel outreach campaigns based on the Zip Value Prop, the merchant needs, market trends, and vertical nuances.
  • Maintain steady prospecting efforts to secure discovery opportunities in order to meet top-of-funnel targets.
  • Demonstrate the ability to run a highly organized end-to-end sales process from Discovery through Integration.
  • Participate in weekly 1:1 sessions to ensure alignment with sales KPIs and account activity benchmarks.
  • Proven ability to manage and convert a high volume of accounts within short sales cycles.
  • At least 3+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience, with exposure to retail merchants or ecommerce.

Requirements

  • Functional understanding of payments, checkout processes, consumer finance and BNPL solutions.
  • Competence in using Salesforce, outreach tools, and analytics software.
  • Ability to formulate strategic hypotheses and then quickly pivot based on market feedback and sales performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of specific retail verticals, such as fashion or entertainment.
  • Familiarity with the retail technology stack and consumer lending trends.
  • Demonstrated experience thriving in a competitive environment and adapting to change.
