Vice President, Finance & Controller - Remote

Overview

The Vice President, Finance & Controller will develop ZERO's financial management strategy and contribute to achieving the organization's strategic goals, overseeing accounting functions with precision and integrity.

• Lead financial strategy and planning for ZERO Prostate Cancer.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance.
• Advise senior management and the Board of Directors on financial matters.
• Develop financial models for strategic decision-making.
• Manage the annual budgeting and planning process.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
• Ensure timely filing of financial reports and compliance with regulations.
• Implement robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.
• Support ZERO's mission through effective financial stewardship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with 5 years in a senior role.
• Experience in the nonprofit sector and understanding of nonprofit accounting.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• CPA or similar certifications preferred.
• Experience with financial systems and ERPs is a plus.
• Ability to travel nationwide approximately 5% of the time.
