Manager, Operations - Remote

Overview

The Manager, Operations will be responsible for managing day-to-day operational activities, ensuring efficient processes, and supporting organizational effectiveness to advance the nonprofit's mission.

In Short

• Manage day-to-day operational activities.
• Ensure efficient processes and organizational effectiveness.
• Maintain the ZERO office in Alexandria, VA.
• Serve as the phone services administrator.
• Oversee shipping and receiving operations.
• Partner with the Finance Team to process incoming donations.
• Assist with staff onboarding and offboarding.
• Support events in the Alexandria/DC area.
• Lead process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for state charitable registrations.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience working in nonprofit operations.
• Fluent working in Google Workspace.
• Advanced knowledge of working in spreadsheets.
• Experience across different software platforms.
• Working knowledge of state charitable registration process.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations.
