Overview

The Sales Director for Target manages sales activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate sales reps, with the outcome of exceeding business sales goals and performance objectives.

In Short

  • Manage sales activities and exceed business sales goals.
  • Directly responsible for managing sales representatives.
  • Establish sales quotas, goals, and objectives.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare reports.
  • Analyze market needs and customer requirements.
  • Responsible for sales and margin performance.
  • Prepare and approve annual budgets for territory.
  • Communicate effectively with key accounts and departments.
  • Routine travel required, up to 8 business trips per year.
  • Work closely with Forecasting and Business Analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, or related field.
  • Five plus years of related experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and planning abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to eight times per year.
