Senior Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Platform Engineer at Yazio will develop and administer the technical infrastructure for our mobile application, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and secure while automating systems and optimizing performance.

• Design and manage infrastructure configurations for high availability and performance

• Adopt new technologies and integrate third-party services for continuous platform enhancement
• Offer internal technical support for the team, perform system maintenance and ensure scalability to meet user demands

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE or Systems Administrator with strong programming/scripting skills in either Go, Python or Bash
• Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes operations and containerized infrastructure (Amazon EKS, Docker, Rancher)
• Solid understanding of networking and security protocols (HTTP, TLS, TCP/UDP) and Linux system administration
• Familiarity with database administration (MariaDB and/or PostgreSQL)
• Experience with CI/CD systems and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu)
• Analytical problem-solver with attention to detail and a drive for operational excellence
• You embrace ownership and impact—communicating complex topics clearly in English, aligning efforts across functions and driving meaningful change in our scaling organization.
