Senior Engineering Manager - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Personal Services engineering team through its next phase of growth and modernization. You will oversee product development, manage geographically distributed teams, and play a critical role in transforming a legacy system into a scalable, modern platform.

In Short

• Lead and grow multiple engineering pods, including backend, frontend, QA, and mobile developers.
• Drive sprint planning, delivery execution, and cross-functional collaboration with product teams.
• Ensure reliability and performance of the platform while managing ongoing feature development.
• Guide the transition from legacy systems to modern technologies (.NET, microservices, React Native, etc.).
• Mentor and coach engineers and tech leads; build a strong bench of future leaders.
• Implement best practices in software development, testing, CI/CD, and observability.
• Own defect tracking, incident response, and ongoing technical quality metrics.
• Collaborate with QA and support teams to reduce regressions and improve release reliability.
• Promote team alignment across geographies, especially between US and India-based teams.
• Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development with 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Proven experience modernizing legacy software into modern web and mobile applications.
• Strong expertise in .NET, cloud-native development, and microservice architecture.
• Experience with mobile frameworks like React Native is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization, observability, and system architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading distributed teams across time zones.
