Assistant Engineer - PRT - Remote

Overview

The Assistant Engineer - PRT will be responsible for tracking locomotive movement, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while collaborating with service sheds to resolve problems on the IR network.

• Track Wabtec loco movement on the IR network.
• Replenish spares with the PRT team for locomotive readiness.
• Attend to customer-reported problems and provide investigation reports.
• Carry out troubleshooting and diagnostics as per Wabtec processes.
• Comply with safety requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with service sheds regarding locomotive issues.
• Must have a strong background in diesel and electrical systems.
• Maintain adherence to safety and compliance in field deployments.
• Ability to undertake extensive travel.
• Excellent customer interaction skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma or 3-5+ years of field experience in locomotive maintenance.
• Strong background in diesel locomotive systems or electrical systems.
• Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to assess safety and criticality of systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of Indian Railway operations and rules.
