Assistant Chief Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for supervising and supporting the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment, focusing on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.

• Lead and support maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Utilize CMMS for managing work orders and preventive maintenance.

• Deliver excellent customer service to tenants and agencies.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency service.

• Manage inventory of tools and supplies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Four years of technical experience in building engineering.
• Universal EPA / CFC license required.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Ability to respond to emergencies within 45 minutes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks and lift heavy objects.
