The Assistant Civil Engineer will work with a multi-disciplinary team to design and implement complex transportation planning, safety, and engineering projects in New York City.

Responsible for transportation studies to support safe streets and intersections.
Develop understanding of trade-offs in transportation improvements.
Assist in environmental studies under CEQR/SEQR/NEPA processes.
Conduct traffic operation and safety studies.
Use analysis tools like HCS, Synchro, and traffic simulation models.
Perform engineering reviews of transportation projects.
Prepare reports and graphic materials for presentations.
Participate in technical and advisory committee meetings.
Valid NYS Driver's License required.
Requirements
Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering or related field.
One year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work.
Experience in CEQR and NEPA processes preferred.
Proficiency in HCS, Synchro, AutoCAD, and traffic simulation models.
Knowledge of engineering principles and traffic environmental impact studies.
Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.
