In Short

• We are looking for a principal software engineer to join our Xometry quoting & pricing organization.
• You will guide software design for a group of approximately 25 engineers.
• Report to and assist the vice president of engineering.
• Adopt a 'lead by example' approach by actively coding and troubleshooting.
• Serve as a mentor and guide to engineers across the organization.
• Guarantee the delivery of superior software that exceeds customer expectations.
• Forge strong partnerships with product managers, designers, and company leadership.
• Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
• At least 8 years of experience in software development required.
• Experience with a marketplace product is highly desired.

Requirements

• Strong technical expertise in REST API design, Python, and frontend technologies.
• Experience with cloud hosting services, especially AWS.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Excellent leadership, execution, and communication skills.
• A US person (citizen or green card holder).
