Senior Structural Designer - Remote

Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Structural Designer to join our team, providing designer skills to prepare structural Revit and CAD designs for Facilities Design and Construction projects for our DoD customers.

In Short

• Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare complex Revit models and construction drawings.
• Performs complex structural modelling and drafting tasks efficiently.
• Interprets and ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes.
• Works closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated designs.
• Develops and reviews Revit models and drawings.
• Provides input and technical guidance for mentoring lower-level Designers.
• Meets layout requirements and develops alternate design layouts as needed.
• Reviews supplier data and drawings as required.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
• Part of the Federal Solutions team delivering resources to US government customers.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree or certificate in designer/drafter course preferred.
• Typically 8+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and/or Bluebeam.
• Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in federal, defense, or highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Design-Build project delivery methods.
• Certified as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Revit is desired.
