Design Manager - Buildings - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Design Manager with extensive experience in building projects to lead and oversee the design process across multiple ongoing construction projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

• Lead and manage the design development of building projects from concept to completion.
• Review and approve architectural, structural, and MEP designs.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Oversee design quality and ensure timely delivery of design packages.
• Conduct design audits and provide technical guidance.
• Liaise with local authorities for design approvals.
• Monitor design progress and report to senior management.
• Support tendering and procurement processes.
• Mentor junior design engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in building design and construction.
• At least 5 years of experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and construction practices.
• Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary design teams.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
