Senior Refrigeration Engineer - Remote

Overview

Providing a consulting engineering service for the design, implementation and close-out of commercial refrigeration installations.

In Short

• Key role in refrigeration consulting from inception to close-out.
• Proficient in heat load calculations and understanding of relevant standards.
• Design based on client requirements and specifications.
• Proficient in modeling software and BIM tools.
• Manage all project stages and compile tender documentation.
• Formulate Bills of Quantities (BOQ’s).
• Conduct quality control and site supervision.
• Troubleshoot existing installations and manage costs.
• Contractor and contract management in refrigeration and HVAC.
• Promote health and safety standards in the workplace.

Requirements

• B Eng / BSc / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Professional registration with ECSA is beneficial.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years experience as a consulting engineer.
• Experience in commercial refrigeration design and commissioning.
• Located in Cape Town or willing to relocate.
