Overview

The Corporate and Compliance Counsel will be responsible for all legal, compliance, regulatory, and operational matters in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

In Short

• Provide legal advice on U.S. regulatory and corporate matters.
• Coordinate compliance protocols in line with industry best practices.
• Prepare and manage agreements and corporate governance documents.
• Organize board meetings and maintain corporate minutes.
• Ensure accurate internal and regulatory reporting.
• Support multi-state mortgage licensing activities.
• Prepare residential mortgage loan closing documents.
• Support M&A activities including due diligence.
• Develop corporate and compliance policies.
• Manage outside counsel as needed.

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written command of the English language.
• Experience in legal, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending and corporate governance.
• Ability to work in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
