Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Workit Health, you will be a key player in strengthening our financial infrastructure by bringing hands-on technical accounting expertise to our high-growth, tech-driven business model. You will play a critical role in managing core accounting functions, serving as our subject matter expert on state and local tax, and optimizing systems.

In Short

• Own key areas of the month-end and year-end close process across multiple entities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Play an integral role in the successful completion of the annual financial audit.
• Manage state and local tax compliance.
• Provide guidance on budgeting and expense management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organizational objectives.
• Document and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Utilize advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills for financial modeling.

Requirements

• Licensed CPA.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience managing state and local tax compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in U.S. GAAP.
• Expert Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
