Staff Engineer, Consumer Group - Remote

Overview

Wolt is looking for a Staff Engineer to join the Consumer Order Experience group to support the engineering teams that are responsible for delivering our consumer experience from browsing the venue selection, building an order, checking out, and tracking the order until delivery.

In Short

• Ownership of the order experience backend services architecture.
• Facilitating and coordinating the product roadmap from an engineering perspective.
• Planning the engineering roadmap for scalable and maintainable services.
• Participating in large cross-team business critical projects.
• Sharing knowledge and mentoring backend engineers across teams.

Requirements

• Many years of experience in building world-class backend services at scale.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Kotlin.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog and Sentry.
• Strong communication skills and a product-oriented mindset.
