Overview

The Technologist in Nuclear Medicine at Mass General Brigham performs research MRI/molecular imaging studies and prepares radiopharmaceuticals for patient studies, ensuring quality control and patient safety.

In Short

  • Perform MRI/molecular imaging studies.
  • Prepare and assure quality control of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Calculate patient dosages and explain procedures to subjects.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and complete testing.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and ACR requirements.
  • Observe radiation safety techniques.
  • Assist in training of research assistants.
  • Maintain sterile technique and proper documentation.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Promote a positive image and professional appearance.

Requirements

  • License: Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear Medicine) in Massachusetts.
  • Certification: ARRT or NMTCB preferred.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of imaging systems and radiation monitoring equipment.
  • Ability to provide care appropriate to all age groups.
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity and mobility.
  • Ability to foster a positive image and professional appearance.
