Overview

The IOM Technologist I plays a crucial role in performing intraoperative neurodiagnostic procedures, providing technical interpretation of neurologic data during surgeries, and assisting the surgical team while ensuring patient safety and equipment maintenance.

• Perform standard and complex intraoperative neurodiagnostic procedures.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical interpretation of intraoperative neurologic data.
• Document SSEP, TcMEP, EMG, BAEP, and EEG waveforms accurately.
• Assist in the maintenance of equipment and patient data.
• Prepare patients and set up monitoring procedures before surgery.
• Work collaboratively with the surgical team.
• Participate in the development of new monitoring protocols.
• Maintain infection control and sterile techniques.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Support diverse patient populations and work effectively in a team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in an Operating Room environment preferred.
• Knowledge of neurodiagnostic procedures and anesthetic techniques.
• Ability to use Xltek/Natus based equipment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Understanding of infection control standards.
• Willingness to learn new software applications.
• Preferred: ABRET certification.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
