Overview

The Radiology Technologist I at Mass General Brigham is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role involves operating radiographic equipment, positioning patients, and capturing high-quality images for interpretation by healthcare providers.

In Short

  • Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety.
  • Operate and adjust imaging equipment for optimal image quality.
  • Capture and review high-quality images.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in imaging.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and procedures.
  • Use electronic medical record systems for data management.
  • Work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm with on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Radiologic Technologist State License required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in radiology technology.
  • Knowledge of radiographic techniques and equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with imaging procedures and protocols.
  • Proficiency in using radiographic equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail in following protocols.
