Overview

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for performing advanced tasks in the sterile processing department of a healthcare facility, ensuring compliance with sterilization standards and assisting with inventory management.

In Short

• Receive used medical instruments and equipment from operating rooms.
• Load instruments into sterilizers according to protocols.
• Conduct quality checks for compliance with sterilization standards.
• Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot sterilization equipment.
• Provide training to less experienced technicians.
• Work evening shifts from 12:00pm to 8:30pm.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Certification as a Central Service Technician preferred.
