The Central Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability of sterile instrumentation for surgical and other medical procedures at Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital.

In Short

• Inspect, disinfect, assemble, process, and distribute patient care instruments and supplies.
• Maintain and sterilize a variety of surgical instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with AAMI standards and established policies.
• Act as a resource for peers and healthcare team members.
• Store and rotate instruments and supplies correctly.
• Work evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a sterile processing program required.
• CSPDT or CRCST certification required within one year.
