Overview

The Patient Care Associate is responsible for providing essential support to patients and nursing staff in a hospital setting, ensuring high-quality patient care and enhancing patient satisfaction.

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to the supervising nurse.
• Promote patient comfort and respond to patient calls promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Document patient care activities in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Safely transport patients to different departments within the hospital.
• Provide basic care including turning, repositioning, and toileting assistance.
• Experience with patient care or medical assisting in a healthcare setting is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Nursing Assistant certification required.
• 1-2 years of experience in patient care or medical assisting.
• Strong ability to provide empathetic, patient-centered care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
