Patient Care Associate - Remote

Overview

The Patient Care Associate will assist patients with daily living activities and support licensed personnel in providing essential patient care in a rehabilitation hospital setting.

In Short

• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs accurately.
• Completes documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts effectively with patients and their families.
• Helps patients with hygiene tasks and mobility assistance.
• Listens to health concerns and reports them to nurses.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in patient care or elder care.
• Must hold Basic Life Support certification.
• Work schedule is night shifts, 24 hours per week.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience in lieu of degree accepted.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Experience in patient care/elder care preferred (1-2 years).
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient in electronic medical records.
