Overview

The Patient Care Associate works under the direction of licensed personnel to assist patients with daily living activities and monitor their vital signs at North Shore Medical Center, Inc.

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Take and record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
• Document patient interactions and care in medical records.
• Help patients move and reposition themselves as necessary.
• Communicate patient health concerns to nursing staff.

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Follow established protocols and procedures in patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in patient care or elder care preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient in electronic medical records.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Effective communication skills.
