Orthopedic/Sports Medicine Medical Assistant - Remote

Overview

The Orthopedic/Sports Medicine Medical Assistant will support healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services, ensuring a coordinated and comprehensive experience for patients.

In Short

• Full-time position working Monday to Friday.
• Float between two locations: Haverhill and North Andover.
• Assist with taking vital signs and documenting patient information.
• Manage patient flow and scheduling appointments.
• Perform general office duties and act as a liaison with other departments.
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform phlebotomy.
• Provide immunizations and maintain inventory of medical supplies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patient comfort.
• Participate in training and onboarding of junior Medical Assistants.
• Comply with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of direct Medical Assistant experience required.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in busy environments.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
• Ability to collect blood samples and perform necessary medical tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Must comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
