Overview

The Nutrition Service Coordinator is responsible for communicating diet orders and ensuring patient meals are prepared and served correctly while providing excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.

In Short

• Communicate diet orders for each meal to the Data Center.
• Check for tray accuracy for each patient.
• Prepare and serve meals and beverages.
• Assist patients with menu selections.
• Maintain cleanliness in the galley area.
• Inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Train new employees in the department.
• Provide compassionate care to patients.
• Follow procedures and maintain attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 25-30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Food service experience is desirable.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate care.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to organize work efficiently.
• Must be capable of following procedures and solving problems independently.
• N95 mask required.
