The Director of National Fitness & Performance Programs will lead the development and implementation of fitness and wellness programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of veterans, service members, and their families. This role involves overseeing a national network of fitness initiatives and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

  • Oversee customized exercise programs for veterans and service members.
  • Maintain partnerships with national and community stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of fitness programs.
  • Develop comprehensive wellness programs addressing various fitness needs.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to create fitness plans for patients.
  • Manage a team of fitness trainers and instructors.
  • Ensure accessibility of fitness programs to all community members.
  • Promote wellness and fitness programs through community partnerships.
  • Travel up to 50% for site visits and program delivery oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cardiopulmonary & Exercise Science or related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in fitness programs or wellness initiatives.
  • 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) required.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of exercise physiology and health trends.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols related to fitness.
