Civil/Environmental Engineer - Remote

Overview

This position requires an individual with ambition and curiosity as well as engineering technical skills. You will begin your professional journey under the mentorship of experienced technical staff and managers. You will dive into understanding waste management processes, including landfill operations, regulatory permitting and compliance, construction, and environmental management systems.

• Develop understanding of permits governing landfill disposal sites.
• Work with consulting firms on regulatory documents.
• Assist senior engineers on construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with permits and resolve operational issues.
• Prepare and review engineering and environmental reports.
• Participate in environmental reviews and audits.
• Formulate goals with landfill managers.
• Assist in estimating site capital needs.
• Interact with state and local agencies for compliance.
• Provide technical support to operations staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar area.
• No previous experience required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to define problems and interpret data.
• Ability to interpret contracts and regulations.
• Ability to follow established procedures.
• Ability to draft reports at state and local levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
