Loss Mitigation Underwriter I - Remote

Overview

This position is responsible for submitting loan modification workups for the entire waterfall of investor workout options.

In Short

• Responsible for loan modification workups.
• Eligible for remote work.
• Communicate with customers, agents, and attorneys.
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 70 loans.
• Assess property values and negotiate settlement offers.
• Review financial documents for loan modifications.
• Prepare workout summaries for management.
• Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls.
• Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM.
• Requires 3 years of education/experience, including 1 year in collections or underwriting.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills.
• Customer service expertise.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Paralegal certification or experience preferred.
• Mortgage collections experience preferred.
• Knowledge of M&T systems preferred.
