As the first AI Engineer in WeTravel’s AI Lab, you will be responsible for designing and building AI-powered solutions that solve high-impact problems for travel organizers and internal teams.

In Short

Partner with the Product Manager to create AI prototypes.
Architect and deliver AI solutions like automated itinerary builders.
Run rapid experiments to validate product hypotheses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore AI opportunities.
Maintain a focus on speed and quality in project execution.
Stay updated on AI trends and frameworks.
Deliver prototypes for handover to product teams.
Work autonomously to build prototypes in isolation.
Contribute to the development of the AI portfolio.
Ensure smooth documentation and technical guidance for handover.

Requirements

6+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience in GenAI / LLM applications.
Proficiency with LLM providers and SDKs.
Knowledge of AI orchestration frameworks.
Experience with cloud platforms and containerization.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to mentor others on AI concepts.
Rapid iteration and experimentation skills.
Understanding of model training and fine-tuning.
Experience with small language models for latency-sensitive workloads.
