Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Accountant, you will be an essential part of an experienced team responsible for accompanying exciting projects and ensuring our product reaches the market.

In Short

• Responsible handling in the area of General Ledger: independent bookkeeping of operational fixed assets, intercompany transactions, provisions, and accounting.
• Precise account reconciliation: complete reconciliation and independent monitoring of the balance sheet in the German-speaking region to ensure correct and transparent bookkeeping.
• Annual financial statements & audit security: independent management of fixed assets and the balance sheet within the framework of annual financial statement preparation and support for external audits.
• Meaningful reporting: creation of precise business evaluations and reports to support informed business decisions.
• Proactive process optimization: identification and targeted management of optimization potentials in accounting processes to sustainably increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation of daily operations.
• Responsibility in the team: in the absence of team management, you will take on professional responsibility within the accounting team and ensure that all work processes are reliably continued.

Requirements

• Experience: More than 5 years of experience in accounting according to HGB, ideally with a focus on fixed assets and accounting.
• Background: A completed business degree or commercial training with relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, or accounting.
• Tools: Proficient use of accounting software, ideally DATEV, and very good Excel skills.
• Structure: Ability to prepare complex issues understandably, work organized, and set clear priorities.
• Communication: Fluent communication in English and German.
