People Specialist, Leaves - Remote

Overview

The Specialist, Leave Experience will work to foster a cohesive, caring experience for WelbeHealth team members experiencing a need for leave of absence. They will act as a primary point of contact between the company and the leave/accommodation and workers compensation program to support timely, compliant, and effective workplace accommodations.

In Short

• Act as a primary point of contact for leave and accommodation processes.
• Manage ADA accommodations and workers compensation processes.
• Provide support and empathy to employees during leave events.
• Generate reports and maintain accurate leave records.
• Collaborate with various teams to improve employee leave experience.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state leave regulations.
• Prepare reports on leave metrics for workforce planning.
• Monitor trends in leave utilization.
• Provide guidance and education on leave processes.
• Coordinate reentry processes for employees returning from leave.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in US disability/leave administration.
• Deep understanding of federal and state disability and family leave laws.
• Familiarity with California statutory leave programs.
• Experience with workers compensation plan administration.
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication skills.
